INSTRUCTIONS FOR SYMPOSIA:

The chair of each symposium is responsible for the allocation of time between introduction, presentations, discussion and conclusions.

As for the duration, we adopted the following rules:

60’ for a symposium with 4 speakers

75’ for a symposium with 5 speakers

90’ for a symposium with 6 speakers.

In principle we recommend presentations of 10-12 minutes to leave more space for discussion.

Good time management will be crucial for the success of the congress. At the end of each session about 10-15 minutes are available to move between rooms before the next session begins.

We therefore request that all symposia chairs take care to keep sessions to time.

TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS:

– The required technical equipment will be provided for presentations in each session room.

– Speakers are requested to upload their Powerpoint presentations on a memory stick at the Slide Centre the day before, if their presentation is in a morning session, or at least 2 hours before the beginning of the session, in case of an afternoon session.

– Optimal conditions of presentation files: Microsoft PowerPoint Windows-Office 2010.

If you have an Appel Macintosh computer, please bring an appropriate converter with you.

Please also note following important information:

-For presenters of sessions taking place in the morning of May 30 (first block 8:00-10:00), there will be the possibility to upload the PPT files at the Slide Centre on May 29 in the time 15:00-17:00

-Presenters of sessions which will take place in the rooms NH Collaudo, NH Fonderia, NH Presse have to upload their PPT presentations directly in the session room.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRESENTERS OF ORAL SESSIONS:

– The required technical equipment will be provided for Powerpoint presentations in each session room.

– Speakers are requested to upload their Powerpoint presentations on a memory stick at the Slide Centre the day before, if their presentation is in a morning session, or at least 2 hours before the beginning of the session, in case of an afternoon session.

– Optimal conditions of presentation files: Microsoft PowerPoint Windows-Office 2010.

If you have an Appel Macintosh computer, please bring an appropriate converter with you.

– There are 15 minutes for each presentation. We recommend presentations of max. 12 minutes to leave some time for discussion

-For presenters of oral sessions taking place in the morning of May 30 (first block 8:00-10:00), there will be the possibility to upload the PPT files at the Slide Centre on May 29 in the time 15:00-17:00

-Presenters of oral sessions which will take place in the rooms NH Collaudo, NH Fonderia, NH Presse have to upload their PPT presentations directly in the session room.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATIONS:

All poster sessions are taking place in the Area “Corridoio Vetrata Nizza”.

There will be 5 poster sessions:

Thursday from 10:00 to 13:00

Thursday from 14:00 to 17:00

Friday from 10:00 to 13:00

Friday from 14:00 to 17:00

Saturday from 9:00 to 12:00

Your poster will remain visible for the entire three-hour slot. You can leave an indication of the time in which you will be present for the discussion of your paper.

Installation and removal of posters must be done immediately before/after the time slots allocated for each session (see the program). Posters not removed will be removed by the staff without delay.

As indicated in the guidelines, the dimensions for a poster are: 100 H x 70 L cm; portrait format.

Material will be provided by the staff to fix posters to the poster boards .

INSTRUCTIONS FOR INTERACTIVE POSTER SESSIONS:

Interactive poster sessions will take place in dedicated rooms.  There will be 3 minutes for each poster to be projected in pdf format. The presenter will then have 3 minutes to discuss the poster with the participants in the session. The total duration of the session is about 1 hour for a total of about 10 posters presented. A chair will manage these sessions.

You can have also the opportunity to fix your poster in the correspondent poster session (see the program), following the instructions below.
