LEONARDO DA VINCI IN TURIN

The EAWOP 2019 Congress’ Local Organizing Committee announces to all participants that, during the Congress days, the exhibition called “Leonardo da Vinci: designing the future” will be open at the Galleria Sabauda.

The collection includes the Leonardo da Vinci’s drawings purchased by King Carlo Alberto in 1840 (studies for works like “The Battle of Anghiari” or “The Virgin of the Rocks”) and the famous “Code on the Flight of Birds”, donated by Teodoro Sabachnikoff to King Umberto I in 1893. Furthermore, there will be the incomparable, universally renowned “Portrait of an Old Man”, known as the Self Portrait of Leonardo. In addition, you will find in-depth studies with similar works of other authors, drawings but also paintings, sculptures, decorative art by Raphael, Michelangelo, Verrocchio, Perugino.
